Anticipation
The cold is coming, I can feel it. Time for sweaters and boots. Time for scarves snug and warm, hats of all colors and shapes. Fall is here, though it seems so fleeting. Soon, Christmas. I wait in anticipation, a child trying to sit still as the season unfolds before me. Full of ice crystals, homes all a glow, music in the air, hearts full of cheer. I dream of the cold nipping at my nose, waking me from the slumber that was the summer heat. There is joy in every season, things to celebrate in every weather. But the cold is coming, and I am alive once more.
Will You?
Came to me last night, so I jotted it down...
If I asked you,
Would you take my hand
And lead me out of the blue?
Don't let me sink into the sand.
I've been too long in the dark
Where heartbreak and love
Are wonderful but leave their mark.
Questioning what I thought was true
And wandering in this dreary land,
If I asked you,
Would you take my hand?
If I asked you,
Would you take my hand
And lead me out of the blue?
Don't let me sink into the sand.
I've been too long in the dark
Where heartbreak and love
Are wonderful but leave their mark.
Questioning what I thought was true
And wandering in this dreary land,
If I asked you,
Would you take my hand?
